For this 30 day challenge I will be doing pictures composed of multiple images. This one is a simple composite of 2 images, the picture of the train overlayed with a concrete texture image (I take all of my texture images as well). I plan on doing composites, panoramas, focus stacking and maybe even a couple HDR images as well. Marga suggested I show the images that I use for my composites and I think that is a good idea. So for those of you who are interested, read on.
This is the original photo taken at a local business selling antique items.
This is a texture I shot of a concrete wall that I like. I desaturated the image and placed it in its own layer above the train image.
I then set the layer blend mode to vivid light, cropped and added a border. I liked what I got so I kept this one simple.
What an interesting piece of art, the longer I watch it the more components I recognize.
ReplyDeleteYour plan sounds very ambitious. Will the eyes have a guest appearance as well?
I would love to see the "sources" of your final image as well. Or would that spoil the magic to much?
That texture combines with the antiques photo in a way that looks so natural! Great effect. Thanks for sharing the two original source images and also explaining your technique!
