This is a hood ornament I shot today while I was wondering around.

This is my first adjustments on the image. I used a texture and set the blend mode to soft light.
I then added a layer, filled it with black and used a layer mask to refine the image.
I then opened the image again in photoshop,
added the original image on a new layer with the blend mode set to luminosity.

Adding the texture gives the ornament an interesting new look.

ReplyDeleteClever method, and absolutely arrestingly stunning result! The color-splash effect is just amazing here... and I love the way the buildings along the street are captured so perfectly in the chrome! Red-orange brick and blue sky are perfect complimentary colors to make the overall effect simply outstanding.
